 Photographing Weddings or Not?

That is the big question I am facing right now. On one hand I love doing weddings, but on the other I get so stressed out about the outcome, I sometimes drive myself nuts. I think I'm going to use this post as my therapy to myself.

Point number:

1. I love it, but is it worth it?

Answers: I don't charge much, so monetarily, NO!
I worry before the shoot.
I worry during the shoot.
I worry after the shoot.

2. Do I do a good job?

Answer: Yes, but this last shoot I didn't.
Well, that's according to my own self evaluation.
I expect high standards, and I let myself down, so I feel
I let my client down.

3. Was the client satisfied?

Answer: I hope so.
I just got the photos to her last evening.
I was late getting them to her because of my hubby getting
ill and was hospitalized.

4. Have I had enough therapy for myself?

Answer: Probably not.

5. Have I decided what to do?

Answer: YES!

6. Well? What is it?

Answer: No more weddings, or maybe yes.
Depends upon the circumstances.

7. Will I advertise anymore?

Answer: NO! It's too costly and I had been doing it by word of mouth
for years.

8. So my definite answer to myself is?

Answer: Who knows what the future might bring?

9. That isn't a DEFINITE answer, is it?

Answer: NOPE!

10. So, did I accomplish anything by having a therapy session with
myself?

Answer: !

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

So, what's on your agenda for the weekend?
Whatever it is, have a great one!

 My New 100 Things

I have a new 100 list in my profile, but it ended up being 134%.
Sounds like something I would do. I talk too much and now I list too much.

Thursday's Thoughts:

I'm thinking!

Blessings to all who come my way.

 A Comment For Belle

I stopped off at Belle's blog, Inside the Flame, and wrote a comment, but decided to cancel it instead of leaving it for her. I was afraid she would think it was a little morbid instead of being uplifting, which I intended it to be an uplifting one. But I did copy it and decided to put it on my post instead. Why? I have no idea, but here it is.

"Belle, sounds like you had fun, even though the trip had its ups, downs and in between times. I know how crazy it gets with daughters and grandchildren, but the memories are so great. I have some friends who have children and their spouses who try to keep my wonderful friends out of their lives. With one unmarried son and four married daughters, plus 4 grandchildren, it is a handful, but they all want us to be a part of their lives. My own mother-in-law passed away when she was 63, which was 21 years ago. She was a loving person with a quirky personality and we all adored her. After the funeral, we went back to their home, got out the photo albums and had a great time laughing over the great memories of the craziness. I think that happens a lot in families who love one another. The kids always bring up their crazy mother's antics. Now I don't think I'm as crazy as they think I am, but on the other hand, I pray they will be able to laugh when I am gone. Even after 21 years being with Our Lord, I still smile when I think of my Dear Mother-in-law. I have a feeling you will be remembered with smiles as well."

If you want to know what my comment is all about, then you'll just have to visit Belle's Blog.

Belle doesn't know about the comment, so if you want to tell her, then it's okay for you to tell her. If she doesn't know, that's okay too. It's just that kind of morning. It's one thirty-five AM here right now, so that tells you I'm having one of my hard-to-go-to-sleep nights. My hubby is up with me. I think I might be a little fuzzy in my thinking, which I wish I could say is a rarity, but I think my fuzzy thoughts are more of a normal thing these days.

Oh well, I hope all is well with anyone who comes by my blog and reads this mixed-up post.

Blessings,
Karen

 Meet Max

This is Max, the newest addition to our growing family. He is our daughter and son-in-law's new puppy, our second GrandPuppy!

This is our 6 year-old GrandDaughter who has already decided she wants to be a teacher. She's showing off her new pierced ears and earrings.

This is her beautiful Mom, our oldest daughter, and her little two-year-old brother, our oldest GrandSon, whom we've appropriately nicknamed, TAZ!

This is our youngest GrandSon, who is exactly two weeks younger than TAZ! He'll be moving to Virginia next month and decided to let his Mom and Dad tag along.

And this is our youngest GrandDaughter who lives with her Mom and Dad in Georgia. Isn't it nice how that all works out? She is starting out her life on the right path. She's 3 1/2 months old and already knows how to pray.

Yes, well my hubby and I are just a tad proud of all our kids, GrandChildren and our GrandPuppies and not ashamed to admit it.

Blessings to Each and Everyone,
Karen

 A Power Student

My granddaughter's name was announced over the intercom at school last week for being a Power Student for the entire year, I asked her what was a Power Student? Bless her heart, only being six she wasn't sure what it meant. So we had to try and guess until her mom has a chance to ask her teacher.

We know she reads to the other students in her class, makes up games for the other students to keep them occupied while the teacher is busy. Last week a fourth grade class visited her kindergarten class. The fourth graders had written a story and shared it with my granddaughter's class. Then my granddaughter's teacher had the fourth grade students sit and asked her to read the story back to them. Needless to say, they were amazed. I sure wish I could have been there to see that!

Finally my very active grandson, her brother, who was 2 in January, is starting to slow down long enough to take interest in books, the alphabet, numbers, coloring and parrots everything we say. He kind of sing songs his words, which is cute.

Our other two-year-grandson already knows the alphabet and numbers. He loves books and his Daddy reads to him every night that he is at home and not on duty at the hospital. I sure wish parents would read to their children before they are even born until they start to school. They wouldn't be behind before they enter school.

Blessings,
Karen
