There's a sadness in a lonely mind Such a hollow shell you'll find, It's hard to think through all the crust So all the parts just seem to rust.
There's a sadness in a lonely heart Although it's such a vital part, It's hard to love through all the crust So all the parts just seem to bust.
There's a sadness in a lonely child Seems to make them inner wild, It's hard to feel through all the crust So all the parts just cannot trust.

I don't know about you, but after watching the news yesterday concerning the wildness that was happening around our nation when store doors were opened for early Christmas sales, it looked like a stampede of wild animals instead of Christmas cheer. What is happening? Does this happen in other countries as well. Fighting over items or actually trampling on people after they were knocked to the ground?
I used to love to go to the mall at least once during the holidays, but our family has opted to not buy gifts for one another except for the children. It started the Christmas after the 911 tragedy. Instead of buying gifts, all of us donated to the different funds set up for the families of the injured and killed.During the holidays, our gift to one another is to be with each another and to diligently pray for one another throughout the year. Prayers are free and I have never known anyone who ever returned a prayer because they didn't like it.
Blessings to all this Christmas season and hope everyone is mindful of the wonders of life, not how much loot you can rake in from your loved ones.

I often reflect throughout the days The times we've shared in those special ways, When things get rough I just think of your smile Remembering our friendship makes it all seem worthwhile.
I just wanted to stop and take a moment in time To let you know you've given me reason to climb, Those mountains of life which were once tiny hills Thank you for the part of my life your friendship fills.
Wherever you go and whatever you do Remember our friendship, which has always remained true, Your kindness and honor is the perfect blend Thank you for the privilege of calling you,"Dear Friend."

Thanksgiving is tomorrow, and what a wonderful time for families to come together. Four out of our five children are with us this holiday season, two sons-in-law and one precious granddaughter. We feel our "cup runneth over" with blessings. It is so wonderful to hear the laughter of our adult children as the years just melt away to the time they all lived under our roof. There were days we would have liked to pull out every strand of our hair, but then there were other days that we felt they were beyond any wealth within this world. They were our wealth and continue to be so. The joy and love they bring into our lives cannot even begin to be measured.
We have to gather some wood today to have our annual fire tonight to roast marshmallows to make smores. We are having our meal today because two of our children have to fly out tomorrow. The actual day doesn't matter, just the love and the things we are so thankful for.
We wish you a wonderful Happy Thanksgiving and pray your holiday season is equally blessed as ours.

Our children are the victims Of the world we leave behind, An uncertainty of systems Our generation has entwined.
The cries of all the children Can be heard across the sea, They become a constant reminder Of things that may never be.
Please do not cry my children We will try to stop and think, To all work together as brethren To be joined as one perfect link.
