 Thought For The Day

According to one of my kindergartners the meaning of stub is:

"It's a Spanish word for stirring stub."

Have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY!

 Pray For The Children

Thank you so much for all of your comments about my 50 truths.

I have been busy the last two days with our granddaughter. We picked her up Saturday afternoon and we went to McDonald's to celebrate our anniversary. Then she spent the night so we could take her to Bible class. We had a great time with her, so I was away from the computer for two days.

I woke up coughing awhile ago, so took some meds and decided to check my computer before trying to get some more rest before it's time to get back up and go to work. Days like these are long for me. I start my day at school at 7:30 on sidewalk duty. My normal school day ends at 3:30. Then I co-teach an after school reading intervention program until 4:00. I have to be at the video store by 4:30 and work until 10:00. I usually work there Sunday, Monday and Thursday nights and then Saturday mornings until 3:00pm. Luckily I was off yesterday so I could enjoy our granddaughter for a longer period of time before having to take her back home.

Our grandson is thriving and so precious and such a contented little guy just like his big sister was and still is, most of the time I should add LOL!

One thing I do everyday is pray for the children around the world. I would like for you to join me in my prayer if you would.

Our Dear and Gracious Heavenly Father,

We come before You with thoughts in our hearts of each and every child upon this earth. They are our future, each country's richest asset, yet many children have to endure things that are so horrible to even be able to comprehend because of the actions of the adults who are supposed to love and protect each of their precious souls. There are many children who are afflicted with health issues which are beyond our comprehension as well. We come together this morning to ask You Dear Father to please help not only these children during their suffering, but their parents and caregivers as well. We are not supposed to question You and ask why these atrocious things are occurring, especially with the innocent children, but in our hearts and souls it is difficult not to wonder why these things are upon the children. Our Lord God, we give You honor as our Creator and the Creator of all things. We plead with You to help the adults find love in their hearts and You in their souls that they may look upon their child or other's children, that they may protect that child instead of doing harm. We also come to You asking for men and women who are given the ability to heal through their knowledge of doctoring and nursing, or through their knowledge in research, that You stand by their side and walk with them as they become the givers of life. Dear Lord, we realize that this earth is not our permanent home and there is a greater and permanent home awaiting us in Heaven with You Dear Lord. We ask that you continue to bless us and please use each one of us to make a positive difference while upon this earth. Through You, Dear Lord, all things are possible. AMEN

Everyone have a blessed Monday and please remember to be patient with those around you, be understanding to those who are foolish, and to pray for those who hurt you. Prayer is the most powerful tool God has given you. Please use it during your walk through each day. God is there for you, you just have to remember to be aware of it and that you never are alone in your struggles. You are made stronger by them and because of that you can then help others. The Stream is a powerful place to be. We all have different or similar, or both, issues during our time upon this earth. We can either pull up our bootstraps and with God's help walk upright and continue on, or we can feel sorry for ourselves and wallow in self pity. If you are the latter, then I would strongly advise you to welcome God into your heart and if need be to also see a doctor about some meds' help. Help is out there and all you have to do is seek it.

Welcome To The World, My Sweet Grandson!

Gentle wind
Gentle child
Ever so slightly
Meek and mild.
Bending branches
Waving arms
Welcoming the day
With all your charms.
Hello sun
Hello smile
Enjoying your warmth
Making life worthwhile.
Tiny raindrops
Tiny tears
Chasing rainbows
Chasing away fears.
Welcome moonlight
With eyes so bright
Hello stars
Now say "Goodnight."

It Started With A Phone Call!!!!!

Sunday was like any other. Church and then our daughter and granddaughter came over for lunch. Our daughter looked a little tired, but being 8 and a half months pregnant can do that to you. She had had a doctor's appt. last week and baby still hadn't dropped. They live 35 miles from Austin and 30 miles in the opposite direction is where we live. They said their goodbyes and went home because they had to go grocery shopping.

We received a phone call at 2:00 AM, Monday morning. "Hey," said my daughter oh so calmly, "I'm in labor, Can y'all come to watch Jordyn?" We scrambled to get ready and off we went. 2:30 our son-in-law calls. "Where are y'all now?" We are about 10 minutes away I told him. He sounded scared, "I don't know, the pains are really coming fast." I told him to just go and we would meet them at the hospital. When we got to the hospital he met us in the emergency room with pajama clad Jordyn in his arms.
"They already took her up," he said. So we all got to the door of the room and heard, "I see a head and look at all that hair!"

We took Jordyn to the waiting room and hubby went to our daughter. Luckily they had brought clothes along for Jordyn so I could get her dressed. We didn't wait too long and son-in-law came out and sat down.

"He's little. Don't know how much he weighs though. Didn't know if we were going to make it. She started having contractions at 11 pm but didn't wake me up until 2:00 am. Since Jordyn took 30 hours, she thought it would be the same. I was going 90 and after making sure no one was coming I went through a lot of red lights with my flashers going and she was screaming. I didn't know she could scream that loud!" our son-in-law said.

But Landon weighed 6 pounds 15 ounces and he came too fast for any kind of medication help, not even an IV. I think we will nickname him Speedy! Although I told my daughter over and over each pregnancy can be different. I always had my babies fast. My first twin came 1 1/2 hours after the first contraction. The others a little longer.

But they all survived Thank God. He was watching out for them. They came home yesterday afternoon and we left the happy little family to themselves to bond. Landon is a good little fella, but I was sitting on the couch when she had him on a palet on the floor and attempting to change his diaper. Up sprang the peepee fountain. He accomplished this 3 times before she could get a diaper on him. His daddy came over and cupped his hand over the third spray. I was laughing so hard. I really couldn't help it. I had already warned her little boys are different than little girls and they need to be covered at all times or this will happen. After the diaper change and the clean up from the eternal fountain she said, "Little boys are so much harder to change than little girls." I was just smiling thinking back to my first one, a boy.

"God is in His Heaven and all is right with the world.!" At least in their world.

Now it will be waiting time for our second grandson to be born in Lubbock, only 8 hours driving time from here. No pressure or anything like that!!! NOT!

Have a glorious day everyone and I will be showing off pictures.
How much better does life get than this?
