 A World of Images

Images
a childhood filled with uncertainty
Images
compiled within a teen's diary
Images
a young bride's apprehension
Images
the unknowing of birthing pain
Images
saying goodbye to my dear soldier
Images
tread upon shivers of fear
Images
daily projected on the tv screen
Images
fearing my son won't know his father
Images
the young soldier is in my arms
Images
viewed from tear-ridden eyes
Images
felt through a grateful heart
Images
a growing family of seven
Images
struggling against unforeseen difficulties
Images
heard among whispers of doubt
Images
prayers said, prayers answered
Images
years passing much too quickly
Images
middle age era has arrived
Images
sickness takes its toll
Images
a weakened heart needs help
Images
touched by arthritic fingers
Images
arthritis slowly takes over
Images
watching my soul mate in pain
Images
blessings come with grandchildren
Images
a complete life embraced
Images
believing in the grace of God
Images
we have done our best
Images
our children are capable
Images
our grandchildren are loved
Images
whether earthbound or heavenward bound
Images
looking forward to the next journey

 I Feel Like an "ADULT"

"WOW!", just look at me now
I'm having "ME TIME"
Getting to watch "ELLEN"
Looking forward to the "VIEW"
Sitting in Hubby's "CHAIR"
And I'm all "ALONE!"
Why? You might ask?
Because I'm off from school
For four whole days
"EASTER" break, "YEAH!"
I feel like an "ADULT"
I feel "FREE"
Of course I had
To tell Hubby
"Please go do something else
While I get to watch "MY" shows
And sit in your "THRONE."
I think I heard him groan
And a little "HUMPH"
And the back door gave
A little slam
With parting "WORDS"
"Just let me know
When you are through!"
"OOH", do I get a choice?
"WOW!" just look at me now!
I feel like an "ADULT!"

 Another Child's Funny Story!

Today was a good day at school. Everything seemed to just come together so nicely. I was testing a little Kindergartner and he was doing a great job. I asked him if he took his smart pills today. He thought for a moment then smiled and said, "Well, I was sick and my daddy was supposed to give me my sick pills, but he made a mistake and gave me the wrong pills. He gave me my smart pills instead, then he realized what he did so he gave me my sick pills. Now I am smart and not sick!"

Now that is a future politician, don't you think?

From Inside Out, From Outside In

Window watching
from inside out
observing, wondering
what's it all about?
Tiny details
catching my eye
upon the ground
within the sky.
Tiny creatures
scurrying around
nature's wonders
can be found.
Skies of blue
dotted with white
tiny creatures
flaunting their flight.
Towering trees
reaching high
springtime breezes
making them sigh.
Delicate wildflowers
bursting with color
trying their best
to outdo one another.
The outside world
behind streaked glass
broken shards
of forgotten past.
Left alone
in this house of gloom
sitting by the window
in this faded room.
Happiness a memory
difficult to find
was there anything
resembling being kind?
Lost between worlds
cannot find the door
gray is all around me
walls, ceiling and floor.
I pray for the light
to take me away
to find a safe place
where I can stay.
The light is shining brighter
the window is changing shape
becoming a beautiful door
through which I can escape.
Window watching
from outside in
time to turn around
another life to begin.
As I slowly walk away
leaving the old house behind
going toward the inviting light
wondering what will I find?
Inhaling the fresh air
dancing with the wind
enjoying the freedom
of God's colorful blend.
I once was lost
but now I am found
as I journey toward home
I am heavenward bound.

 The Giggle For Today!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This week was field trip time for Kindergartners. We went to a local dairy where they get to pet the animals, feed the goats, milk a cow and take a hayride. Before this momentous occasion, the children learn about dairy farm animals in their classes.

After getting a chance to pet the donkey named Cisco, one of the children remarked, "That donkey only has ONE teat!"

"And that is the rest of the story!!!!"

Have a wonderful weekend and God Bless!
