 Our Cup Runneth Over!

From Our three Wonderful Grandchildren to your Family. Life Just doesn't get any better than this.

Our Charlie is such a happy little boy, because he has a mommy and daddy who love him so much, take care of his needs, and know that he is God's present to them, to raise, love, honor and respect him for a lifetime. Wouldn't it be a different world if all parents loved their children as much as our grandchildren are loved?

MY PRAYER TO OUR HEAVENLY FATHER IS TO TAKE CARE OF EACH CHILD UPON THIS EARTH. MAY EACH CHILD BE IN A SAFE, LOVING PLACE, WITH THOSE WHO WILL NURTURE THEM SO WHEN THEY GROW UP THEY WILL BE A LOVING AND NURTURING ADULT. I WANT THIS PRAYER TO BE PAID FORWARD, SO NOW IT IS YOUR CHOICE TO SEND THIS PRAYER TO SOMEONE ELSE. PRAYERS ARE FREE, SO THERE IS NO EXCUSE TO PAY A PRAYER FORWARD.

HAVE YOURSELF A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I AM SENDING MY LOVE OUT TO MY STREAM FRIENDS! BE SAFE, BE LOVED AND LOVE BACK! THIS CAN BE THE START OF SOMETHING BIG! THE SIMPLE THINGS IN LIFE CAN BE THE MOST WORTHY,

 Naughty or Nice?

How many of us would answer this question truthfully?

My daughter wanted to take my two grandchildren to see Santa, but at the last moment my 6 year old granddaughter told her mama she didn't want to go, but didn't give a reason.

I'm not certain how the subject of Santa came up again, but my granddaughter finally told my daughter why she didn't want to talk to Santa. She said she had been doing things she should not have been doing, like fighting with her younger brother and she said she knew she was on Santa's naughty list.

My poor baby! I felt so sorry for her at that point when my daughter was telling us about what Jordyn had said. The funny thing is, she has been one of the sweetest little girls you would ever meet. Until recently, she really has been quite a little angel, but unfortunately I guess several factors finally caught up with her. A new little brother, starting kindergarten and a new stage she is going through.

For me, I have been a little naughty, but mostly nice. I hope Santa will forgive me for my naughty lapses and leave me something nice this year.

God Bless You All! Karen

 Man I'm Tired!

Someone sent this to me in an email, and ladies if you haven't seen this particular one, I guarantee you will enjoy it tremendously, especially the ending. Gentlemen, if this might be similar to your life, then take notice so it won't happen to you like it did to this poor guy.

This has been voted Women's Favorite E-mail of the Year!* *
If you agree, send it to all your friends who would enjoy this?* *
I just did!*

Don't miss the end!* *

MAN I'M TIRED!* *
A man was sick and tired of going to work every day while his wife stayed home.*
*
He wanted her to see what he went through so he prayed:* *
'Dear Lord: I go to work every day and put in 8 hours while my wife merely
stays at home. I want her to know what I go through, so please allow her
body to switch with mine for a day. Amen.'* *
God, in his infinite wisdom, granted the man's wish.* *
The next morning, sure enough, the man awoke as a woman. -
He arose, cooked breakfast for his mate,* *
awakened the kids,* *
set out their school clothes,* *
fed them breakfast,* *
packed their lunches,* *
drove them to school,* *
came home and* *
picked up the dry cleaning,* *
took it to the cleaners and* *
stopped at the bank to make a deposit,* *
went grocery shopping,* *then drove home to put away the groceries,* *
paid the bills and* *balanced t he check book.* *
He cleaned the cat's litter box and bathed the dog.* *
Then it was already 1P.M. and he hurried to make the beds,* *
do the laundry,* *vacuum,* *dust, and* *sweep and* *
Mop the kitchen floor.* *
Ran to the school to pick up the kids and* *
got into an argument with them on the way home.* *
Set out milk and cookies and* *
got the kids organized to do their homework,* *
then set up the ironing board and* *
watched TV while he did the ironing.* *
At 4:30 he began peeling potatoes and* *
washing vegetables for salad,* *
breaded the pork chops and* *
snapped fresh beans for supper.* *
After supper, he cleaned the kitchen,* *
ran the dishwasher,* *
folded laundry,* *
bathed the kids, and put them to bed.* *
At 9 P.M. he was exhausted and, though his daily chores weren't finished,* *
he went to bed where he was expected to make love, which he managed to get
through without complaint.* *

The next morning, he awoke and immediately knelt by the bed and said:
-'Lord, I don't know what I was thinking. I was so wrong to envy my
wife's being able to stay home all day. Please, oh! oh! please, let
us trade back.'* *

The Lord, in his infinite wisdom, replied:* *
'My son, I feel you have learned your lesson and I will be happy to change
things back to the way they were. You'll just have to wait nine months
though. You got pregnant last night.'* *

I was a stay-at-home mom with five kids for 18 years before I went to work for the next 22 years, and still working part time. I can really relate to this. Have a Great Day, Love ya, Karen

 A Chinese Christmas

Our Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary is having its Christmas Party today and the gift giving will be a Chinese Christmas. Now I really don't know how it got its name, but we are supposed to bring a gift that basically has been given to us at one time or another, but never cared for it, so it sits hidden in a closet someplace. The idea is to re-give that gift to someone else, sort of a gift recycle.
Then you get to steal someone's gift and give them the one you ended up with if you like their's better. It can get a little wild. How wild can 70,80, and some 90 year olds get????

I would imagine the majority of y'all have done this kind of Christmas fun at sometime or another. Well, I did discover a gift I have had for years and for only a moment thought I would give that at the party. Yet, after I thought about it, I thought I had better not. Might not be too well received. It's a rather large statue of The Thinker. As you know, he is not clothed and the majority of our auxiliary members are elderly, a lot more elderly than I am.

Or it could possibly be well received. You never know. Well, I ended up going to Dollar General and picked up a singing stuffed dog, who is really cute for a whopping five bucks. He sings, "I'm a Love Machine." Now that is a very classy gift!

Have some great Christmas Parties, and remember, if you are looking for that one great gift, check out Dollar General
