Well, next Wednesday is the big day. We will be on the first leg of our journey to meet our sweet granddaughter. Talk about being excited!
She is so anxious to meet her Grammy and Granddaddy, she has been whining and crying since the day she was born on February 21st. Now her uninformed parents think she is just making all that racket because she is hungry, wet, and other things babies are famous for wanting, but we know the truth of the situation.
She has been longing to cuddle with us, give sweet little coos for us, and share her overall happiness with us that she is so blessed to have been born into our very unique family.
Well, unique is a word that can be taken in several different ways, and within our family, I'm sure about every way you thought unique might mean, is probably true.
I really wish I had time to share some of our family's uniqueness, but I can't. I spent today subbing all day and let's just say I feel I was lucky to be considered a Survivor.
Then I went to volunteer in our local hospital's ER for 6 hours and got home at 11:30.
Tomorrow we have a 2 1/2 hour drive, one way, to the VA hospital where my hubby has his pacemaker/defibrillator 6 month check-up.
We'll visit my mom and brother afterward, grab a bite to eat, then of course have to make the drive back home.
We might, or might not, have our grandson stay with us Friday night. Depends on his parent's plans with our granddaughter on Saturday.
A dear friend and loving Sister-in Christ passed away at the age of 86, and at 1:30 Saturday afternoon, we will be able to say our final farewells to a beautiful soul.

So, here it is, into the wee hours of another morning once again. I will probably sleep on the way to SA later today. Something about the movement of a car that rocks me to sleep like a little baby.
Nite, nite!
