 Thank you for your prayers.

We just got back from Lubbock last night. Our daughter did miscarry. She and Michael are coping as best they can right now. I want to thank everyone who sent out prayers on their behalf.

Doors and windows are constantly opening and closing. My other two daughters who do have children, but both had also experienced miscarries, helped their little sister through this time in her life of disappointment.

I pray all is well with all of my Stream Friends.

God Bless,
Karen

 Asking For Your Prayers!

I would like for you to say a prayer for my daughter, Melody, and her husband, Michael. Melody has had some problems during her first pregnancy, and right now it doesn't look good. She is about two months along. They will know for sure from the blood work and should know something for sure on Wednesday.

Thank you Dear Stream Friends,

Karen

 Just A Breath Away!

A year
A month
A week
A day
An hour
A minute
A second
A breath
Away from death!
A goodbye
A car ride
A way home
A long day
A long line
A long bridge
A sudden sound
A sudden silence
A last thought
A last breath!

Dedicated to the souls who were lost Wednesday evening and to their grieving families, and for those who are still anxiously awaiting word of their missing loved ones.

Tragedy can strike anywhere, anytime. We have seen it happen over and over, yet in the midst of it all, there is courage displayed from all directions, from all walks of life.

The question, "WHY?" will always be asked, it's just the human side of our nature, yet most of us know down deep that it is just a part of living in this uncertain world of ours.

Wars rage, hate continues, riots uprise, jealousy destroys, another side of human nature that also lives within the hearts of men, women, even children, yet so many were given a second chance.

If you had a second chance to change your not-so-enduring ways, would you take it, or just think it wasn't your time to plunge into the river, and continue on your destructive course?

So many heartwarming and tragic stories have been told time and again over the last day and a half, my heart has rejoiced and cried at the same time, and it will continue for awhile.

After 911 in 2001, I , like so many others, called my loved ones just to be able to hear their wonderful voices, to make sure they were where they were supposed to be.

Our town's roads cross over the Colorado River on three different bridges, one of which was unsafe for quite a long time, before they finally replaced it several years ago.

Yes, I will be thinking about the bridge as I cross over it, which ever of the three I will cross within a day's time. Sometimes it's all three of them. At least one just to go to Wal-Mart, yet again to come back home.

To visit my daughter and grandchildren in a town thirty miles from here, I have to cross the Colorado River three different times, and of course another three to come back home.

The rains here in Texas this summer have been unheard of in the past, the river has been at flood stage for weeks on end, so now I wonder, how much more stress can the columns take?

Makes a person think a little harder, a little longer, a little wiser, a little sadder, but in the long run there is really nothing we can do but pray a little harder, a little longer, a little wiser!

God Bless to all the Streamers who might live in the area where the bridge collapsed today. I pray none of you lost a loved one.
