 The Giggle For Today!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This week was field trip time for Kindergartners. We went to a local dairy where they get to pet the animals, feed the goats, milk a cow and take a hayride. Before this momentous occasion, the children learn about dairy farm animals in their classes.

After getting a chance to pet the donkey named Cisco, one of the children remarked, "That donkey only has ONE teat!"

"And that is the rest of the story!!!!"

Have a wonderful weekend and God Bless!

 THINK KAREN THINK

UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!
Please don't bother me at this moment
words are absent from my mind
no matter how long I have looked
nary a one was I able to find.
I do believe they were playing
a game called hide and seek
no matter how much I have looked
finding them looks pretty bleak.
Think Karen think cried my brain
frustration was seeping within
checking every nook and cranny
finding them was looking quite grim.
Just when I thought I had them cornered
they were on the run once more
racing all around in circles
then traipsing out the door.
They rushed into the large backyard
then scrambled up the tree
laughing and giggling as they went
sharing a bit of glee.
They shimmied down the twisted rope
onto the weathered swing
back and forth within the wind
a joyous tune they began to sing.
I wanted to catch the words quite soon
and return them where they belong
but quickly I became entranced
with their pleasant song.
I laid back upon the cooling grass
absorbing the sounds twirling about
watching the white clouds pass above
as my brain sent out a silent shout.
Okay words, you've had your fun
now it's time to come inside
to help me create something new
to build up my creative pride.
They finally listened as they tired
from playing their active game
they decided to come back peacefully
decided to act quite tame.
So now they are quietly resting
amid my thoughts within my head
remaining comfortable and cozy
as if they are tucked in bed.
Now they are home where they belong
until they are needed to help me rhyme
but right now they are enjoying
quiet moments of passing time.

 Thursday's Thirteen Thoughts

I know tomorrow is Friday, but I will be on the road traveling to Oklahoma to my great niece's wedding on Saturday. My sister doesn't have a computer, so I will be out of contact until we return Sunday. So I decided I would do Thursday's Thirteen Thoughts just to get something posted.

ONE. I have ONE terrific son!
TWO. TWO people live with me!
THREE. I have THREE precious grandchildren!
FOUR. I have FOUR beautiful daughters!
FIVE. I have FIVE siblings!
SIX. I have SIX great nephews!
SEVEN. I have SEVEN nephews!
EIGHT. I have EIGHT great nieces!
NINE. Having NINE lives might be a plus-MEOW!
TEN. We have TEN rooms in our house!
ELEVEN. We have Eleven clocks in our house!
TWELVE. We have TWELVE Teachers/Aides in our Kindergarten!
THIRTEEN. I have moved THIRTEEN times in my life!

I know they are not too exciting, but they do tell me one thing. I am a very blessed individual.

God Bless and have a great weekend!!!! Karen

And "Here's the Taco Soup Recipe"

LET ME KNOW IF YOU TRY IT AND HOW YOU LIKED IT!

Taco Soup (Amy’s version)

Ingredients**:

1 lb Ground beef or turkey (I like using turkey)
1 pkg Taco seasoning
1 pkg Ranch dip mix
1 can of each of the following:
Pinto beans
Ranch style beans
Corn
White hominy
Stewed tomatoes (or Rotel)
2 cups water
¼ cup fresh squeezed lime juice
¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro (can be used separately as an optional topping)

**You can substitute any of these ingredients to meet your own taste or to use what you have in the pantry! These ingredients are guaranteed to taste great though!

Preparation:
Brown meat with taco seasoning. Mix all ingredients in a crockpot or large pot. Cook until heated through or let simmer all day!

Add any or all of the following toppings for an even better soup:
Chopped fresh cilantro
Shredded cheddar cheese
Sour cream
Chopped white onions
Sliced jalapenos
Tortilla chips

PLUS: THANKS FOR ALL THE BIRTHDAY WISHES!

AND the TACO soup RECIPE is...........................

And for all of you who wanted the recipe, AND BY THE WAY IT WAS DELICIOUS, you will have to wait until I get home sometime Sunday night, SORRY!!!!!!!!!!

REASONS:
1. My daughter hasn't had a chance to write it down for me:
A. Why you might ask?
1. My 7 week old grandson, breast feeding, and lack of sleep!
2. I haven't had a chance to write it down as she told it to me:
A. Why you might ask?
1. My 7 week old grandson, holding him, loving on him, rocking him, singing to him, seriously spoiling him, changing a variety of soiled diapers while daughter is trying to get some much needed rest.
3. In between I have been sewing 14 canvas bags, making appliques for them, painting them and writing names on them :
A. Why you might ask?
1. The town we live near has two sister cities. One in Germany and one in the Czech Republic.
a. 12 students and 2 chaperons from Olfen, Germany will be visiting our little town this week and our businesses have donated various items for them so they need something large to put them in, thus my bags. I am the Secretary of our Sister Cities' Association (although I am neither of German or Czech decent)
4. My birthday celebration:
A.My birthday is the 20th, so two of our daughters and our grandson took my husband and I out to dinner.
1. Where you might ask?
a. Joe's Crab Shack
5. Have to go to Bible Class and Church Services this morning.
A. Then we have to drive 8 hours back home.
1. Why you might ask?
a. Because that is how long it takes from here to there!
b. Because spring break is over
c. Because I have to go back to work
d. Because sometimes life is the PITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"And THAT is the rest of the story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
